It's All about the Heart

It's All about the Heart

I was really torn as to what to share with you today…Amethyst, February’s birthstone or the “Heart” symbol.  Well, I decided we could do both!  With Valentine’s Day fast approaching it brought my awareness closer to my heart and I created some new jewels for you with Amethyst hearts!  You can find them on our website.

Throughout the ages the heart symbol has long been recognized as a symbol of love, compassion, joy and charity.

Did you know the average heart is the size of an adult fist?  And that your heart will beat 115,000 times each day!  What about the beating sound that your heart makes?  That’s the opening and closing of the valves.

We’ve all heard that laughter is the best medicine, and yes, laughter is good for the heart releasing stress and boosting the immune system.  But to take it a step further, there is no healing below amusement.  Or to put it another way, when we can shift our energy to one of amusement (as opposed to say anger or sadness), the healing begins.  Not only with the physical heart, but also with the heart chakra…and permeating throughout the whole body and aura space.

Heart chakra you might ask?  Our knowledge of the chakras goes back to ancient Indian Texts.  There are 7 main chakras that are vortices of spinning energy that are linkage points between your physical body and your aura, the electromagnetic area that surrounds your body.  Your aura space extends comfortably anywhere from 8 -12 inches out from the body.  However, the heart field of the heart chakra, located at the centre of the chest area extends 10 to 18 feet out from the body!

Holy Moly!

And you’ve heard the songs:  “All You Need is Love” by the Beatles, “The Healing Power of Love” by Dan Hill, and “Heal the World” by Michael Jackson.

When we heal our hearts, we heal our world.

So how can we do this?  There are so so many ways; sharing gratitude, being kind, charity, forgiveness and taking care of ourselves to name a few.  In our upcoming Meditation Series we experience how we can be the “love that we are”.  After all, it is our birthright to be all that we are and shine our light.  And when we do it supports others to shine their light as well.

I love the heart symbol ~ it reminds me that Love is the answer…always.

From my heart to yours,

Holly
